When something about communication isn't quite right, waiting is the hardest part
Whether it's a little one who isn't talking like their mates or a parent whose speech has changed, you don't want to sit on a six-month public waitlist wondering if you should have acted sooner. You want a real person who can tell you what's going on and what to do next.
-
Is it just a phase?
You've been told to wait and see, but your gut says your child needs more than that, and you don't know who to ask.
-
A diagnosis that touches everything
Autism, apraxia, cerebral palsy, a cleft palate. You need a team that has genuinely worked across these, not a generalist who sees one case a year.
-
Adults get treated like an afterthought
After a stroke, brain injury, or a Parkinson's diagnosis, most local clinics are set up for kids. You need someone who works with adults every week.
One team, every stage of communication
Most local clinics stop at children. Nash treats both children and adults, so the whole family can be looked after in one place, close to home.

Questions families ask us
Still not sure where to start? Have a chat with us and we'll talk it through, no pressure.
Call 0420 345 531 Do I need a referral to book?
No. You can contact us and book an assessment directly. If you'd like to claim a Medicare rebate, you'll need a GP care plan, and we're happy to talk you through how that works.
Do you really see adults, not just children?
Yes. We work with adults every week — after a stroke or brain injury, with Parkinson's or dementia, and on voice, fluency and accent. It's a genuine part of what we do, not a sideline.
Can you claim through Medicare?
Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients with a GP care plan (a Chronic Disease Management plan). We'll help you understand what you're entitled to before you commit to anything.
Where are you, and can we do it online?
We have two clinics in the Inner West — Drummoyne and Gladesville — and we also offer sessions at your child’s school or preschool, in your home, and online on Zoom.
What ages do you work with?
From toddlers who aren’t talking yet through to older adults. If communication, speech, language, literacy, voice or swallowing is a worry at any age, we can help or point you to who can.
What happens at the first appointment?
We get to know you, listen to what's worrying you, and do an assessment. You'll leave understanding what's going on and what the next step looks like.
Let's have a chat about what's going on
Whether it's for your child or someone you love, the first step is a simple conversation. Book an appointment at Drummoyne or Gladesville, or ask us anything.
